The Lollipop Man Visits Spirits on the Road to Sambhogaya

This Tibetan word means the enjoyment body. The assemblage painting is my first attempt to capture my inner world of spirits which first visited me during my meditations in the year 2000.

During my meditation I would stop and open my sketchbook trying to draw the moving spirits that were always changing. Then I would put my sketchbook downa and meditate again. I repeated this ritual several times on the same day until I ended up with six pages of life drawings of spirits. In my vision each appeared as if it were walking around both edges of a gold bullion light. I cut out the images of these spirits after I transferred my drawings to Masonite. Then I gold leafed the 3D images that were moving inside my mind.

The gold leafed clay figures protruding from the canvas of blue and red auras starting on the top left is a larger spirit being. The first figure is titled, Wisdom of My Spirit, the tall thin top spirit on the right is titled Grizelda, and the lower smaller spirit on hte right is titled, Voice of Her Child.

The blue mirroer Plexiglas figure at the bottom of this sculpture represents the artist Sharon. The blue stick figure above her head represents her bald diappearing lover in Ensenada, Mexico.

You can read their love story in her third book titled Escort of Kings Volume 3, Other Lives Othe Worlds.
