Porcelain and Glass titled "The Sleeping Heart of Jessica"

The Lollipop Man Heads

My character the Lollipop Man (the long stick figure with a baldhead and only one ear) represents the Pythagorean Society as well as my own. This ancient Greek community of men and women initiates who were encouraged not to speak and only listen for 15 years were called Akousmatikoi. When they made it through 15 years of silence to learning their lessons in life this group of people became Arithmatikoi.
